Meet the Team
Our professional team draws on significant
experience advising within the SIPP and SSAS market, from both private practice
and in-house as part of the Curtis Banks Group.
Regardless of who works on your matter, they will be
supervised by Gemma Millard, Director and Head of Legal Practice.
Gemma Millard – Solicitor and Director
Gemma is Head of Legal practice at Rivergate and has in excess of 12 years experience as a Solicitor, working with SIPP and SSAS clients for the majority of her career.
Gemma qualified as a Solicitor in 2008, gaining her law degree and Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice with Distinction from the University of the West of England in Bristol. She specialises in providing advice around Commercial Property transactions generally and within both SIPPs and SSASs environments.
Gemma is also Head of Group Legal for the Curtis Banks Group.
Anastasia has worked in legal practice for nearly 8 years. She became a Chartered Legal Executive in 2018 and took specialism in Commercial Property. She recently completed her studies for her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice to covert her CILEX qualification to become a solicitor.
She is particularly skilled at dealing with complex shared ownership matters.
Laura worked as a Legal Executive for 6 years in the
Real Estate department in a large national law firm before qualifying as a
Solicitor in 2018. During this time Laura specialised in landlord and tenant
work, but acted on a wide range of commercial property matters including
lending matters, large scale multi-property investments, purchases of
development land, renewable energy matters, and auction sales.
Prior to qualifying as a legal executive Laura worked in the Financial Services sector and brings her experience of this sector to her role with the firm.
Sam has worked in law for four years, spending the majority of this time as a property fee earner advising a broad range of clients such as businesses, charities, individuals and schools on complex property transactions. This includes a wide range of work including landlord and tenant matters, portfolio disposals, acquisitions, charity property, educational institutions and licenced property.
Prior to joining Rivergate Legal, Sam completed his solicitors training with Stone King LLP. He has a first class honours law degree, where he won an academic award. He also has a masters in advanced legal practice, where he wrote his dissertation exploring how the commercial property sector is reducing is carbon output and of the relevant regulations.
